For approximately three years I had suffered with a chronic injury to the joint on my left ankle from twisting it while running. I sought relief from physicians, cheap inserts from retailers , new shoes and the like. Massage therapy gave me some temporary relief but the pain and intense discomfort would always predictably return within too short a period of time.
I must admit I was skeptical when Rick suggested orthotics from Z-Line Training but I was willing to try them because my level of desperation was growing and Rick had in fact given me some good advice in the past with regards to some back pain I had experienced. I have been waking up with lower back pain for the last year or so. Some days were worse than others to the point where I would have to spend some time stretching to be comfortable just getting myself and my four children ready in the morning. The stretching was helpful but didn't solve the core issue of the pain. I began wearing my orthotics and within three weeks received complete relief from my morning back pain! I purchased a pair of orthotics because I used to walk with a slight limp when I was tired and I could not run (treadmill) for long periods as my left foot has no arch (flat) and would begin to swell. The orthotics are working really great. They help alleviate my back and hip pain from prolonged standing or walking. I took the second pair of orthotics we made, and use them in my cross country ski boots. I used to get pain and cramping in my arches when skiing, and the orthotics eliminated it.
